Met Office has forecast very hot and dry weather across the country during the next six days as there is no chance of any rain this month. Heat wave conditions have already started in southern parts of the country including Sindh and Balochistan and the weather is also likely to become very hot in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir from Monday onwards, a met office spokesman told APP on Sunday.
He said the day's temperatures are expected to increase by three to five degrees centigrade in most parts of the country. In northern parts of the country, temperatures have started rising which would cause good snowmelt next week and gradually raise the levels of major water reservoirs. He informed that there is little chance that some isolated rain and dust-storm may occur in the rain-fed (barani) areas of the country during the last three days of this month.
Meanwhile, Larkana was the hottest place in the country on Sunday with temperature rising to 46 centigrade, followed by Nawab Shah 45 C, Noorpur Thal 44 C, Hyderabad 43 C, Sukkur 43 C, Sibbi 43 C, Rahim Yar Khan 43 C, Khanpur 42 C, Bhakkar 42 C, Bahawalpur 42 C, Bhawalnagar 42 C, Multan 41 C, Lahore 40 C, Karachi 38 C, Peshawar 38 C, Muzaffarabad 38 C, Islamabad 36 C, Gilgit 34 C, Quetta 31 C, and Murree 26 C.
