'Daanish schools to usher in new era of progress'

Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that setting up of Daanish schools will usher in a new era of progress in the backward and far-flung areas while extremism, illiteracy and poverty will also be eliminated. He said that students of Daanish schools will play an active role in national progress and development.
He said that foundation stones of the schools have been laid in DG Khan, Mianwali and Attock while the foundation stone of that in Rajanpur will soon be laid. He said that these centres of knowledge will be established in all tehsils under a phased programme. He was presiding over a meeting regarding Daanish schools, here Tuesday. Shahbaz informed said that academic activities have been started in six Daanish schools for boys and girls in Rahim Yar Khan, Hasilpur and Chishtian.
He said that the foundation stone of Daanish School in district Rajanpur will soon be laid and a committee has been established for identifying a suitable location for this purpose which will submit its report within next few days. He said that the revolutionary project of Daanish schools has been started for the first time in the country's history for providing modern educational facilities to the poorest students of backward areas. He added that this project will not only help eliminate terrorism, poverty and ignorance but the dream of the students of backward areas to have quality education would also be realised.
