Swedish Ambassador to Pakistan, Ulrika Sundberg, has lauded the efforts of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) with regard to poverty eradication and said that a delegation of Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency (SIDA) would visit BISP during its forthcoming visit to Pakistan aiming to explore the possibilities of mutual co-operation in the social sector, especially for the poverty eradication.
She said this while talking to Farzana Raja, BISP, during a meeting at BISP Secretariat here on Wednesday. Farzana Raja said that BISP is the largest social safety net in Pakistan, which is striving for poverty eradication and women empowerment in the country. -PR
