Need urged for manufacturing auto spare parts

Former President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Majid Aziz has emphasised the need that Pakistan should start manufacturing those auto spare parts which it is importing from various countries. He noted that Pakistan importing auto parts in huge quantity and suggested that the same should be manufactured in the country.
According to Engineering Science and Technology Sub-committee of KCCI report, he noted that Pakistan importing auto parts in huge quantity, ignoring the talent of its youth who can manufacture then domestically by relying on its on feet. By manufacturing auto parts locally Pakistan can also increase employment and save foreign exchange. He also gave example of Pakistan Engineering Board and Heavy Mechanical Complex and persisted by saying that concerned authorities should share their ideas with business community and bring on board their suggestions and valuable inputs for the development of mutually beneficial business relation which would help to enhance the export and help business community in particular and the nation in general.
