Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman in Indian Occupied Kashmir, Mohammad Yasin Malik and three of his associates were arrested by Indian police during a peaceful demonstration against the arrest of a youth at Maisuma locality in Occupied Srinagar.
Scores of people took to streets and staged demonstrations to protest the arrest of Ashiq Ahmad by a police team from his residence in a surprise raid, Kashmir Media Service reported. Shouting pro-liberation slogans, the protesters led by JKLF Chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik and his party activists tried to march through the city centre. However, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and police personnel deployed in the area intercepted them. Several people, including Malik were injured in the police action.
