01 May, 2011

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Saturday announced to observe a mourning day on Sunday against the killings of party workers and sympathisers. This was announced by MQM deputy convenor Dr Farooq Sattar while addressing a press conference at party's headquarters, Nine Zero.
"More than 100 activists and supporters of MQM have been killed during the last four months." "Last night former MPA Liaquat Qureshi of MQM was shot dead, which is a big blow to our party" said Farooq Sattar. He said that the blood of our martyrs would bring a revolution. He said that the target killing of MQM activists is aimed to block the way of MQM to become a national level party. He said that the situation might go out of their control if the government failed to take stern action against the target killers.
