Sarhad University of Science & Information Technology (SUIT) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday held a condolence reference to pay tributes to the services of prominent educationist and founder of Qurtaba Education System, Professor Abdul Aziz Niazi.
Beside, the heads and representatives of the local universities and a large number of students attended the reference. Professor Dr Azhar Khan Niazi son of the late educationist and Dean of Social Sciences, Qurtaba University, Professor Dr Mohammad Saleem and other faculty members also attended.
Addressing the condolence reference, Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman highlighted the services of Professor Niazi and saying his sudden demise had created a big vacuum in education sector of the province. He said that Professor Niazi had rendered remarkable services for the development of education sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor, Preston University, Professor Dr Mohammad Anwar Hassan termed late professor as Sir Syed Ahmad Khan of the province in recognition of his services in the promotion of education. He said that Professor Niazi followed the footsteps of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. The vacuum created due to his death would be felt forever.
Former Vice Chancellor, Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad Professor Dr Qasim Jan and Dr Mohammad Israr Vice Chancellor City University also addressed the condolence reference and said that the services of the deceased rendered for the promotion of education sector in the province would be remembered forever and his absence would be felt.
Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Qurtaba University, Professor Dr Mohammad Saleem said that late Professor Niazi along with good human was also a loving teacher, who spent his life in the promotion of education. At the end the son of the late Professor Abdul Aziz Niazi, Professor Dr Azhar Khan Niazi thanked the management of the Sarhad University and participants for arranging the reference.
