President of Pakistan Muslim League and chairman of Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Salim Saifullah Khan while addressing a press conference at PML House here on Sunday said that the "unholy alliance of PPP and PML (Chaudhry League)" has compromised national interests over individual interests, and it has nothing to do with the interests of the common people who will face grave consequences in the future.
While criticising the 'unholy alliance', he said that the Chaudhry League is a B-Team of PPP and has disregarded public mandate "as we had contested against PPP at every seat".
He said: "We won 21 seats in Balochistan and we could easily form govt, but the 'Chaudhry League' willingly provided opportunity to PPP to form the government.
Nisar Mohammad Khan, Mohammad Ayub Khan Khattak, Colonel Khalid Munir (retd), Asia Azeem Ajab Gul Surani, Riaz Awan and other members of the party were also present on the occasion.
He said that during presidential election, 'Chaudhry Brothers' had named Mushahid Hussain to contest presidential election and, having 121 members in Parliament, Mushahid got only 42 votes, which was a deliberate move to support Asif Zardari to become President. He said that the present government has failed to deliver and is leaving no stone unturned to remain in power.
He said that unemployment, price hiking, drone attacks, deteriorating law and order situation, bad governance, terrorism and inflation are the glaring features of the incumbent government. He said that President Asif Ali Zardari has played handsome political card to further divide PML and get benefit in next election.
He said that "in January, 2005, Nawaz Sharif had invited me, and I advised him to bring together all Muslim League sections under one platform, but bad policies of the Mian Brothers also dispersed Muslim League sections".
He said that: "I will soon invite all opposition parties, including JUP, JUI, Tehreek Insaf, Sindh National Front, PPP(S), Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, and other parties under one platform to play an active role of opposition. He further highlighted that Chaudhry Brothers alliance proved that they are not Muslim Leaguers as they differed on the ideology of Pakistan Muslim League.
