Reasonable salaries for young doctors demanded

02 May, 2011

Central Secretary, Labour National Party, former MPA Rehmat Ali Baloch while supporting genuine demands of young doctors of Balochistan has said that keeping in view 75 percent backward population of the province, they should be given salaries equal to those of Centre and other provinces.
Baloch said, here Sunday that doctors' profession is of service of humanity but they are being forced to hold strike, adding that the health sector has been affected due to this. He added that doctors have been forced to hold strike for their basic and human rights, but rulers are silent and people particularly patients are facing difficulties.
He observed that owing to the efforts of doctors in a civilised society, health sector progresses but in our country they are deliberately being deprived of their rights and pushed towards backwardness, while rulers are busy in their luxuries. He said that National Party fully supports young doctors' strike and assures them of fullest co-operation.
