The World Bank (WB) will provide funds to Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) for the provision of state-of-the-art hostels, lecture halls, gymnasiums, auditorium, power house and other facilities. The assurance was made by Dr Abdus Salam, Senior Executive Vice President WB, a spokesman of the GCUF said in a statement issued on Monday.
He said Dr Abdus Salam was a former student of GCUF, who asked Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Zakir Husain to chalk out comprehensive proposals for the development of infrastructure in all departments of the university. He will present the proposals in a WB meeting scheduled to be held next week and get funds for the projects.
