Four including two children killed in Peshawar blast

Four people including a woman and two children were killed and several others injured in car explosion near Police Station Umerzai, police and eye-witnesses said on Monday. The explosion was so powerful that the windowpanes of the police station its nearby buildings and houses were broken.
The injured were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital, Charsadda and seriously wounded to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar. The explosive material was planted in a car, which exploded with huge bang. The victims were included a woman and two minor. After the incident, security was tightened and police launched a search operation in the surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan and provincial president, Senator Afrasiab Khattak condemned Umerzai suicide attack and termed it a coward and inhuman act. In a joint condemnation statement issued here from Bacha Khan Markaz on Monday, ANP leaders said that that the back of the terrorists has broken and now they are bent upon indulging in such inhuman acts, which are not justified in any religion. They expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of lives of a woman and children in the incident and directed local office bearers to leave no stone unturned in the assistance of the families of martyrs and injured.
