Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani has categorically said that no foreign troops would be allowed to invade our soil. "Towards an amicable and honourable resolution of the issue of Balochistan, government is ready to talk with the disgruntled nationalists at any forum."
Talking to the newsmen soon after the Balochistan assembly session here at his chamber on Monday, he reiterated that "no one would be permitted to invade the soil of Balochistan." "We are ready to talk to the annoyed nationalists, he reiterated the government pledge adding "I still believe that the problem could be resolved through negotiation." He however deplored that we are optimistic to talk to our Baloch brethren, but what can we do if the other side does not respond positively. He noted that through the policy of reconciliation, government would find durable solution to all problems facing the people of Balochistan.
Expressing his grave concern over the issue of missing persons, Raisani said that matter is deplorable and they must be produced if there are any allegations against them. He also condemned the target killings of journalists in the province and reiterated the responsible would be brought to justice. "Teams have been constituted and stern action would be taken against the killers, he added. To a question, he said that compensation to the victims belonging to the members of the media fraternity would be ensured.
