The United Arab Emirates' national carrier Etihad Airways and Gerry's International, one of Pakistan's leading aviation groups, has on Monday launched a dedicated coach service in Pakistan for Etihad guests travelling between Allama Iqbal International Airport and the cities of Sialkot and Faisalabad.
On the occasion, Amer Khan, Etihad Airways' Country Manager in Pakistan, said they have a great response received from their customers in Faisalabad and Sialkot, who were waiting for such a luxurious mode of travel to the Lahore Airport. He also said Etihad Airways has now become the first international airline to cater to the travel needs of the passengers from these cities. "This service will consistently ensure that our guests enjoy a simple and convenient travel experience from their home city, all the way through to their final destination," he added.
The new daily service is operating with two 16-seat luxury coaches, whereas the coach operating schedule has been co-ordinated with the arrival and departure timings of the Etihad Airways flights at the Allama Iqbal International Airport. Guests travelling with Etihad will pay a nominal fee of Rs 600 per person for a one-way journey to or from Lahore on the new service. Outbound guests travelling from Sialkot or Faisalabad will be required to purchase their coach tickets in advance from local Gerry's International sales offices. Inbound guests can reserve a seat through email or by phone before boarding their flight to Lahore.
