Prime Minister, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, has re-constituted the Board of Directors of Karachi Tools, Dies & Moulds Centre (KTDMC). The new board comprises Munir K. Bana, Ashfaq A. Paracha, Syed Javaid Ashraf, Rumi Moiz, Dr Muzzaffar Mahmood, M. Ilyas Suri, Sohail P. Ahmed, Engr. M. A. Jabbar and Syed M. Irfan Aqeel from the private sector, as well as a number of ex-officio members from various ministries.
At the first meeting of the reconstituted board of directors held on April 30, 2011, the board re-elected Munir K. Bana as chairman of board of directors. Bana thanked all the members for their contribution in generating cash earnings in the past two years. He also thanked the board for the confidence reposed in him by re-electing him as chairman.
KTDMC was established in 2006 as an Information Technology based common facility centre, primarily for training and improving the skills of engineers and designers. The centre is providing state-of-the-art training, consultancy, design and manufacturing services in CAD/CAM/CAE, sheet metal dies, injection moulds, die casting moulds, die and mould accessories, reverse engineering, rapid prototyping and heat treatment of dies and moulds.-PR
