Shutter-down strike observed in Quetta

A shutter down strike was observed in Provincial capital on Saturday against killing of innocent people in terrorist act here on Friday. According to details a shutter down strike was observed here on the call of Hazara Democratic Party and Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party to protest killing of six innocent people in an act of terrorism in Hazara Town here yesterday.
Strike was peaceful and all the business centres, shops and plazas remained closed. Medical Stores, hotels and tanoors were also shut. People faced great difficulties to obtain items of daily use. Traffic was very thin while attendance in schools and government offices also remained thin.
Administration had adopted strict security measures during shutter down strike. Frontier corps troops and police contingent were patrolling in the city. Meanwhile, Jamaat Islami while thanking political, religious forces' alliance for making today's strike successful said that all the political religious and nationalist forces must get united against sectarian terrorism. Anti-nation and anti-state forces were conspiring to create hatred among the people.
