15 vehicles snatched during outgoing week in Islamabad

Islamabad Police have failed to curb car lifting and dacoities in the capital, as 15 vehicles were snatched or stolen in Islamabad during the outgoing week, besides 12 incidents of dacoities. Police claimed to have busted 16 gangs of dacoits and drug traffickers, bootleggers and gamblers, but rise in street crimes, car lifting, dacoities and theft remain point of concern in the Capital.
As per data collected by Business Recorder from 14 police stations of the capital, 16 gangs of criminals involved in dacoities, drug pushing, bootlegging and gambling were busted during the week. While on the other hand, 120 incidents of streets crimes were recorded in Federal Capital during the week in which people were deprived of vehicles, cell-phones, cash, computers, gold ornaments and other valuables.
