Nine dacoits arrested by NH&MP

National Highways & Motorway Police has foiled two attempts of dacoities on GT Road in Qadirabad and on Motorway (M-3) in Pindi Bhattian by prompt action and arrested nine dacoits including a lady from whom seven illegal pistols & ammunition were recovered.
As per detail, the officers of NH&MP SPO Asghar Ali and SPO Muhammad Abbas observed a bus going to Sahiwal instead of Islamabad. The officers tried to stop the bus, but they enhanced the speed of the bus and the dacoits succeeded to flee from there. In the meantime, the NH&MP officers also reached the spot where the passengers informed that they were deprived of Rs 10, 000 and a mobile. The passengers praised the prompt action of NH&MP officers.
In the meantime, the photographer of NH&MP Jilal Ahmed observed six passengers of Power Company Bus No LRJ-4673 and on checking two loaded pistols with ammunition were found from lady dacoit Ms Kausar Perveen and two pistols recovered from the other dacoits. Later during investigation they confessed that before a few hours ago they were busy in looting the bus of Skyways. The arrested dacoits were Kausar Bibi, Zafar Iqbal, Khyzar Hayat, Bashir Ahmed and Muhammad Asif, whereas one dacoit escaped from there.
In the second incident on Faisalabad motorway (M.3) near Pindi Bhattian, DSP Malik Asghar, Admn Officer SPO Faisal Gill and APO Anwar Sultan observed four persons standing inside the fence. They ran away from there however the officers succeeded in chasing them from whom three pistols, five magazines and live rounds were recovered. The culprits were identified as Ansar Ali, Saif Ali, Shahid Iqbal, and Falik Sher Waryam Khan. All the dacoits were handed over to authorities concerned for further investigation.
