Supreme Court Lahore registry renovation work: CJP issues necessary directives

Chief Justice Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry here Saturday chaired a meeting of "Supreme Court Building Committee" and issued necessary direction regarding renovation work at Lahore registry. During the daylong engagement of the CJP at Lahore registry, he met LHC Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry and different delegation of lawyers.
Renovation work of historic Supreme Court Lahore Registry building is being conducted by National Engineering Service Pakistan (Nespak). The building was constructed in 1890-94 and represents the architecture of British era. Nespak planned to replace the existing reinforced brickwork slabs with reinforced concrete slabs.
