A ceremony for the 2nd Pakistan Media Awards 2011 was held on Saturday night to give excellence awards to the people who showed best performance in entertainment and news media fields during 2010. The nominations were submitted for the year 2010 in categories including best drama, best actor, best actress, best supporting actor, best supporting actress, best drama producer, best drama writer.
Best soap, best sitcom, best anchor (morning show), best morning show, best fashion designer, best model male, best model female, best fashion editor, best makeover and hair stylist, best singer male, best singer female, best RJ male, best RJ female, best news caster male, best news caster female, best anchor current affairs male, best anchor current affair female, best film of the year 2010, best film hero, best film heroine, best film director and best theatre.
The best award selection was made both on the basis of the opinion of judges panel and public voting. The judges panel consisted of Madame Sangeeta, Syed Noor, Mustafa Qureshi, Rahat Kazmi, Samina Ahmed, Qasim Jalali, Tanveer Jamal, Haseena Moin, and Arshad Mehmood.
A large number of people attended the ceremony including government trade officials, federal and provincial ministers, consuls general and trade commissioners, members of international and local fashion councils, decision makers, CEO's of multinational Companies, international and local media, international and local celebrities, singers, artistes, international and local fashion models, members of performing arts academies and councils, fashion designers, fashion photographers, socialites and sponsors of PMA 2011.
