Promotion of cultural awareness: five Pakistanis invited to visit Brazil

Brazilian Ministry of External Relations invited five Pakistanis to Brazil under a programme designed to foster cultural awareness about the country abroad. The group's visit comes within the framework of the cultural activities carried out by Embassy of Brazil in Islamabad to promote various aspects of Brazilian culture in Pakistan.
It is for the time, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Brazil and Pakistan in 1952 that representatives from Pakistan will take part in such a cultural exchange programme. During their ten-day stay in Brazil they will travel to major cities like Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte where they will visit some of the country's most important cultural institutions, museums and art galleries, as well as the SP-ARTE fair in Sao Paulo, one of the most important art events in Latin America, congregating over 85 art galleries from several countries.
They will also attend musical concerts at the invitation of the Symphony Orchestra of the State of Sao Paulo and of the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro. From Islamabad, Naeem Pasha, renowned architect; Noshi Qadir, proprietor and curator of the Tanzara Art Gallery, and Arsalan Ahmad Khan, Creative Director of Verve Event Management; from Karachi journalist, Naveen Naqvi, and, from Lahore, acclaimed designer, Kamiar Rokni are part of the group.
