The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has launched a special edition of its phone, Xiaomi Mi A1.

The fifth largest smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi unveiled the latest edition, introducing the phone Xiaomi Mi A1 in an all new attractive red color. The phone was officially launched back in September in collaboration with Google and soon became a competitive smartphone for the mid-range markets.

Gizmo China reported, being called the ‘Special Edition Red’ of Mi A1, the phone has same specifications and features as the original Mi A1. Just the introduction of the new color is what makes the phone special. The new red color is an addition to its previous color ranges that include Black, Gold and Rose Gold.

The phone comes in a 5.5-inch HD display with Snapdragon 625 chipset. Containing 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, the phone has the ability to expand its storage up to 256GB through a microSD card. With 12MP dual rear cameras, the phone is able to take telephoto and wide angle pictures, along with a 5MP front camera. Featuring a massive 3080mAh battery life, the phone runs on Android Nougat and will soon be updated to Android Oreo, informed Tech Juice.

With companies launching special editions and colors for their phones, Xiaomi seems to join the race. Just recently Samsung introduced its S8 in Burgundy Red color, OnePlus launched its 5T’s Star Wars Edition, and Vivo launched a phone for FIFA officials. However, the special edition of the Xiaomi phone is only available in Indonesia for now and it is not sure when will it be available for other countries.
