Seminar held on World Nurses Day

13 May, 2011

"Closing the Gap: Increasing Access and Equity" is most befitting as it is the need of the hour. This year the theme is about increasing access and equity to better serve communities, especially in primary healthcare, where nurses have always been and continue to be leaders.
The theme is appropriate and aligned with the Prime Minister's announcement declaring 2011 as "Women's Year" said, Batool Qureshi, Federal Secretary for Ministry of Women Development, while addressing the seminar on World International Nurses Day in Shifa International Hospital on Thursday. Qureshi said, "I am comforted and happy that nurses are still in the forefront of the health system, leading disease, prevention and control initiatives and leading efforts to improve wellness at the primary care level."-PR
