Workshop for civil service officers organised

Foundation for Rehabilitation & Education of Special Children (Fresh) organised a two-day awareness workshop for civil service officers on the role of the Foundation in addressing the problems of disadvantaged and marginalized segments of the society.
As many as 22 probationary officers, including 12 females, from the 38th Common Training Programme attended the awareness workshop. They spent two days at the Green Meadows School of the Foundation and learned about the concept of learning difficulties, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Dyslexia and Dyscalculia. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) FRESH Mrs Ashba Kamran and Curriculum Advisor Mrs Naheed Salman made presentations to the workshop participants.
Mrs Kamran briefed the participants about the concept of learning difficulties and problems being faced by the Foundation in spreading around the concept in the society. She said absence of training institutions for the children facing learning difficulties, both in the public and private sector, is a major drawback of Pakistan society.-PR
