Sindh police on Thursday claimed to have arrested notorious Lyari gangster from Pak Colony and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession. According to police officials, a team headed by SP Naveed Khawja on a tip-off conducted a raid at Pak Colony and arrested a notorious Lyari gangster Faisal alias Chilli and recovered a 12 bore repeater and two grenades from his possession.
They said the accused, who belonged to Mullah Raju group, involved in Shersha carnage, which left 13 people killed and several others injured. Meanwhile, the accused Mullah Raju, Zubair alias Wehshi, Arsalan alias Adnan, Aftab and Naveed escaped from the scene under the cover of heavy gunshots. The officials further said the detained culprit during initial course of investigation admitted to have killed 15 people and injured over 20 others in different incidents of violence, besides committing 500 robberies across the metropolis.
