PPP Punjab convenes meeting on LHC verdict

Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Punjab, President Imtiaz Safdar Warraich has convened an emergency meeting of the party to discuss the Lahore High Court decision restraining President Asif Ali Zardari from holding political activities. The meeting of provincial chapter of the party is likely to react strongly against the LHC verdict.
It may be noted that PPP Sindh executive committee has already decided to take out rallies at district headquarters all over Sindh against the verdict in Asif Ali Zardari's dual office case. During a meeting, chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah at the Chief Minister house, the party decided to take out processions at the district level. The party workers joined the rallies to protest against the decision of the Lahore High Court. Sindh assembly members' also participated in the assembly meeting wearing black ribbon to record their protest. The PPP Punjab is also likely to take a similar decision against the verdict.
