US MIDDAY: coffee and cocoa down

US soft commodity futures put in a mixed performance on Friday as players seemed to be taking stock after a sell-off rippled through the complex for the second week in a row. The key July raw sugar contract gained 0.12 cent to close at 21.45 cents per lb. On the week, the market is up 4.78 percent. Rest of the board was down 0.07 to 0.13 cent.
July arabica coffee futures slid 5.55 cents or by 2.0 percent to close at $2.694 per lb. The market declined 6.31 percent on the week. Key July cocoa futures dropped $35 to close at $3,002 per tonne. The market fell 2.6 percent from last week's level.
