Rice prices turn higher on grain market

Rice prices were higher on the wholesales grain market on Saturday as rice exporters showed fresh interest in purchasing, dealers said. Only one change was seen on the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type was up by Rs 75 to Rs 3550 and superior type followed the same pattern, rising Rs 50 to Rs 3600, they said.
On the cereal side wheat old Bardan was quoted at Rs 2425 and new variety of same item registered at Rs 2440. Khandsari registered at Rs 7000-7400, they added. On the grams side grams Australia low type was unchanged at Rs 4400 while good type shed Rs 50 to Rs 4600 in process of slow trading, they said. On the seed side cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low quality did not move any side at Rs 1300 and better type gained Rs 10 to Rs 1360, they said.
