RTA issues new transport fares

The Provincial Transport Authority (RTA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued revised fares on inter provincial and inter city routes in light of the enhanced diesel prices of Rs 97.31/- per litre. All Secretaries of RTA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been directed to ensure display of new fare tables at visible places at general bus stands at their jurisdiction and inside passenger vehicles for information of transporters and passengers.
They were further directed that the violating transporters and drivers be brought to book. Similarly, the existing concession of 50% in the actual fare allowed to the students of educational institutions, Deeni Madaris, blind/disabled persons and the passengers above the age of 60 years shall continue as usual. However, in case the air-conditioned system is not working in air-conditioned vehicles, then fares of deluxe stage carriage bus would be charged.
According to new fare tables, Peshawar-Mardan fare for flying coaches/mini buses, and AC buses, will be Rs 65/- and Rs 77/-, respectively. Likewise Peshawar-Mingora Rs 193/- and Rs 227/-, Peshawar -Swabi Rs 133/- and Rs 157/- Peshawar-Cahrsadda Rs 30/- and Rs 36/-, Peshawar-Bannu Rs 215/- and Rs 253/-, Peshawar-D.I.Khan Rs 376/- and Rs 443/-, Peshawar-Kohat Rs 72/- and Rs 85/-, Peshawar-Hangu Rs 115/- and Rs 136/-, Peshawar- Dir Rs 280/- and Rs 330/- Peshawar-Haripur Rs 175/- and Rs 205/-, Peshawar-Abbottabad Rs 216/- and Rs 254/- and Peshawar-Mansehra as Rs 243/- and Rs 286/-, Peshawar-Topi as Rs 151/- and Rs 178/- respectively.
