All set for 'Tevta Skills Expo-2011'

All arrangements have been finalised for "Tevta Skills Expo-2011" being organised on 23rd and 24th May. The Chief Minister of the Punjab Shahbaz Sharif would inaugurate two-day Skills Expo on May 23. According to the spokesperson of the Technical and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta), they had organised skill exhibitions of its students at district and zonal levels across the province for the selection of exhibits of the projects.
Five hundred students of Tevta from 30 government colleges of technologies presented 400 projects, 1400 students of 315 vocational institutes exhibited 1300 projects, 85 students of 13 service centres presented their 100 projects and 50 apprentices of 5 apprenticeship training centre displayed 60 projects at district and zonal level Skill Expos.
District and zonal committees comprising of teachers and experts were constituted to finalise products to be displayed in Tevta Skills Expo. A number of 1310 projects/models prepared by 1305 students of 259 Tevta institutes across the province were finally selected by the committees for display in Tevta Skills Expo-2011, which will replicate the training being imparted by Tevta to its enrolled youth.
He also said that Tevta Skills Expo 2011 would generate a spirit of competition in the field of technical skills. It will also offer an opportunity to business community, general public, especially common students to witness the projects of Tevta students across the province of the Punjab under one roof.
