PML-N to observe 'Youm-e-Takbir' on 28th with enthusiasm

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to observe 'Youm-e-Takbir' with enthusiasm on May 28 to commemorate the nuclear tests carried out by Pakistan during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif as Prime Minister in 1998. Sources in the PML-N told Business Recorder that the party leadership has asked different wings of PML-N to hold gatherings across the country to mark the day in a befitting manner.
To mark the day, the PML-N will hold different functions in which they would show their strength. PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif is also expected to be guest of honour in a party function. The PML-N considers May 28 a milestone day in the history of Pakistan that made the country's defence unconquerable, a party leader. He said his party leadership has the distinction of making the tough decisions, despite pressure by the US and other western countries. The leadership of PML-N got the honour of making the country first Islamic atomic power on May 28, 1998 and on May 28, 2011; Pakistan Muslim League-N will launch a mission of providing residential facilities to the people under socio-economic protection programme for the masses, he added.
It may be noted that May 28 is observed with passion to remember the historic nuclear tests in 1998 in reply to Indian explosions that made Pakistan the seventh nuclear nation of the world and first Muslim state equipped with deadly arsenal. According to Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister Zulfiqar Ali Khosa, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will inaugurate the distribution of five-marla plots under 'Jinnah Abadies Scheme' among 46,168 shelterless people on the occasion of 'Youm-e-Takbir' on May 28.
In order to distribute allotment certificates of plots in 'Jinnah Abadies', functions will be held in all districts on May 28 in which provincial ministers, advisors to CM, members of national and provincial assemblies will be the chief guests. It may be noted that as many as 661 Jinnah Abadies have been set up in the province. As many 5,459 plots will be allotted in Lahore Division, 2370 in Gujranwala, 505 in Rawalpindi, 1061 in Sargodha, 13840 in Faisalabad, 10160 in Multan, 3153 in DG Khan and 5656 in Bahawalpur Division.
