Islamabad Police nab seven suspects

Islamabad Police have nabbed seven accused for their alleged involvement in illegal arms, bootlegging, drug pushing and theft from who illegal arms, drugs, liquor and stolen commodities were recovered, said Naeem Iqbal spokesman of Islamabad Police on Wednesday. Margalla Police during routine patrolling stopped a taxi bearing registration number LXD-1027, and on search 19 bottles of liquor were recovered, besides arresting Farooq Masih.
Shahzad Town Police during patrolling recovered two bottles of liquor from an accused detainee who was identified as Riaz Khan. Moreover, Kohsar Police on a tip-off arrested a person namely Gul Muhammad for his involvement in theft and during preliminary investigation police recovered the stolen commodities worth Rs 10,000 from his possession.
Sabzi Mandi Police during its routine patrolling stopped two persons namely Muhammad Akbar and Muhammad Nasir and during the search police recovered one kg charas from them. Sabzi Mandi Police also stopped a person namely Ali Gul at a checkpoint from whom one pistol (30-bore) and four bullets were recovered. Sihala Police caught an oil thief namely Farooq red-handed when he was stealing oil from an oil tanker bearing registration no RIN-4206.
Capital Police have registered separate cases against the detained accused and investigation is underway against them, the spokesman said, adding that SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam has lauded the performance of the Capital Police, saying that there is still room of improvement. He directed the SDPOs and SHO to enhance the vigilance in their respective areas to bring the crime rate to lowest ebb.
