'80 shrines, 78 mosques under Auqaf department'

Sindh Minister for Auqaf Abdul Haseeb said that around 80 shrines, 78 mosques and 10,000 acres of agriculture land in Sindh are under the control of the Department of Auqaf. He was talking to a four-member delegation of the University of Karachi, which called on him in connection with its research papers at his office here, said a statement here on Wednesday.
He advised the students that educated youths must utilise their capabilities in positive direction, and called upon the students that besides highlighting the social problems they should directly interact with the masses, particularly, with youth for their improvement. He further called upon the student that besides getting traditional education, they should also pay attention to promote the religious teachings. The students' delegation comprised Danish Ali, Nazima Liaquat, Hasan Rasheed and Bilal Ahmed. They were also briefed about the activities of the Auqaf Department to facilitate them in their research work.
