Prime Minister's visit to China vital in wake of recent developments: Masood

Pakistani ambassador to China, Masood Khan said that Pak-China relations will further strengthen with the ongoing four days visit of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to China. Talking to VOA on Wednesday, he said this visit is being made at a time when Pak-US relations are strained in the backdrop of Abbottabad incident.
He added that the visit of prime minister was scheduled much earlier and its meant to express solidarity with Chinese leaders on the completion of 60 years of Pak-China friendship and strong relations. He said before departure to Beijing on Tuesday, while talking to journalists, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said China was the first country, which expressed solidarity with Pakistan after US operation on Pakistani soil.
The leadership of both the countries will exchange views in the backdrop of recent incidents, besides regional and international scenario and this visit has public importance as well, Masood said.
