Power failure for long hours causing colossal loses

Performance of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) is deteriorating with the passage of time and general public realign in hot weather without electivity for more then 10 to 20 hours beside small business suffer colossal loses. Many parts of the city including Nazimabad, Rufi Homes, Saphore Goth, Gulshan-e-Iqbal etc were without electricity for 10 hours on Saturday.
Residents of Rufi Homes said that they lodged several complaints but no one in KESC was ready to pay attention to their complaints. They alleged that after privatisation of KESC its efficiency is continually on decline and the workers of KESC are seen more interested in taking gratification rather than providing services. They urged the government not to privatise any government-owned organisations such as SSGC, Railway, PIA, and KWSB in future.
It is worth mentioning that the many areas remain without power for the last six days creating frustration among general pubic. Performance of KESC moving from bad to worst. Owner of a tailoring shop said that KESC pleading for increase in power tariff just to recover its losses suffered during the time of power outage. He lashed out at CEO KESC Tabish Gohar and said that he has no capability to run and managed any organisation.
