Last year Mozilla launched a smartphone browser Firefox Focus that gained positive reviews. Now, the search engine has introduced a new feature that seems to be pretty handy for users.
Web browsers have taken a new turn, turning themselves more efficient and offering a better performance. As smartphones started to advance, the web browsers advanced with them introducing new features for them too. The new Firefox Focus feature too was a smartphone browser that immediately won the hearts of users.
The feature is made to rapidly access the most visited websites and any search engine to the Focus application. Along with auto-completing the website address, the feature gives a quicker way to access websites. The user won’t have to go through the trouble of typing compete URLs of the mostly visited websites. When the user would type in keywords, the browser will suggest websites through a drop-down menu automatically referring to what the user has typed in before, reported Tech Juice.
Firefox ups its game with major upgrade
However, the mode of auto-completion can be enabled or disable manually too. In order to perform this task the user would have to go through simple steps. First tap of the Firefox menu icon and go to ‘Settings’. Then select ‘URL Autocomplete’ and click on the dialogue box next to the option. Finally, the user would have to tap the back arrow in order to save the changes.
Moreover, the users can also add up the search engines in Firefox. Also, Mozilla is now offering ad blocker and tracker blocker, which permits the users to enjoy faster internet speeds along with higher security.
According to the company, this feature was made possible through pre-populated and custom-in app lists that stay in the app itself. The pre-made list includes over 450 web addresses till now, which can be further added by users as per their needs. The feature is available for free downloading in both iOS and Android, wrote Android Headlines.
