Taiwan stocks slip

Taiwan stocks fell 1.01 percent to an over one-month closing low on Monday, with iPad supplier Hon Hai Precision trading lower on concerns Apple Inc might shift orders to other producers following a blast at one of the company's plants in China. Hon Hai, the flagship unit of Foxconn Technology Group, slumped 2.9 percent. Genius Electronic Optical, another Apple supplier, was off nearly 1.4 percent.
The main TAIEX index shed 89.52 points to 8,747.51 as electronics shares were off 1.23 percent. Banking stocks fell 1.3 percent.
