35 feared dead as bus plunges into river

Some 35 persons were feared killed when a passenger bus skidded off road and plunged into the Neelam River in Neelam Valley district of Azad Jammu Kashmir on Friday, official sources said. The ill-fated private passenger bus (LF 136) with 35 passengers on board was on its way from Muzaffarabad to Keil when it met the accident on Shaheed Road at Changan village, about 115 kilometer from Muzaffarabad at about 1.15 pm, the police sources told APP.
Quoting the reports, the sources said that the bus skidded off the highway while passing through horses and cattle on the sharp and thin road. Rescue teams were trying to recover the bodies of drowned passengers.
