1.17 kg charas, 30 bottles of liquor seized: Federal police arrest 25 persons

Islamabad Police have arrested 25 persons including 10 suspects and recovered 1.170 kg charas, 30 bottles of liquor and stolen commodities worth about Rs 200, 000 from the detained outlaws, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Saturday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan directed the SP Industrial Area Ishaq Warraich to take appropriate measures to control the crime in the area and check the suspected element, the spokesman said. He said that after these instruction a special team headed by SHO Industrial Area Ashraf Kahut were constituted to launch massive crackdown against anti-social elements, which succeeded in arresting five thieves, besides nabbing eight suspects during search operation in their respective area.
Sabzi Mandi Police arrested two suspects during search operation and investigation is underway against them. Aabpara Police during routine patrolling stopped Imran Masih and on checking police recovered 24 bottles of liquor from his possession.
Golra Police also recovered six bottles of liquor from bootlegger Sohail Masih during a routine patrolling and checking. Sihala Police following the information raided a house in its jurisdiction and nabbed three accused namely Asim Nadeem, Shaukat Ali and Badshah Rehman for having a total of 1.170 kg charas.
Kohsar Police apprehended a thief Ansar Masih who was allegedly involved in various theft incidents. During preliminary investigation he admitted his involvement in theft and police recovered stolen items worth Rs 130, 000 from his possession.
Sabzi Mandi Police apprehended a beggar Abdul Rehman while Golra police arrested Zulqarnain, Zakir, Nisar and Ameer Rehman for having looted items worth Rs 160, 000. SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has appreciated the performance of those policemen who arrested the criminals and directed all police officials to intensify efforts against the anti-social elements.
