A mother is equally respected in all religions and societies throughout the world. Nonetheless, Islam has given more importance to a mother when our Holy Prophet disclosed: "Heaven is under the foot of the mother." I was really shocked to see the report in the press (May 27) that one well-known artist Mohammad Ali Saleem alias Begum Nawazish Ali, who was obviously drunken has beaten up his mother namely Mrs Farzana Salim to the extent of breaking the bone of her nose.
Finally his mother lodged FIR No 151 with Islamabad police who arrested him. The police sent his mother to the Polyclinic Hospital for medical check up. Nonetheless, after the arrest, her mother affectionately forgave her son but the police registered a case against Mohammad Ali Saleem for using alcohol after the test it was proved positive. I suggest all TV channels to ban Begum Nawazish Ali Saleem in their programmes for five years at least as a token of respect to mothers in general.
