56 paintings of Pakistani artists sold in Singapore

A record number of 56 paintings out of total 75 displayed in the group of 13 Pakistani artists were sold like hot cakes in Singapore. On display in the just concluded exhibition "Artistic Fusions From Pakistan" were the selected art works of Iqbal Hussain, Jimmy Engineer, Mashkoor Raza, Mansur Rahi, Hajra Mansur, A.S.Rind, A.Q. Arif, Salman Farooqi, Tariq Javed, Abrar Ahmad, Amjad Butt, Mussarat Arif and Maham Gul.
The organisers of the Record number of 56 paintings of Pakistani artists sold in Singapore group show Revivers Galleria in Gulberg, Lahore in collaboration with the Pakistan High Commission in Singapore and other sponsors at the Arts House in Singapore told Business Recorder that the exhibition was a great success in more than one way and they have been duly encouraged by the patronage extended to the Pakistani artists by large number of art lovers and collectors.
They said the exhibition had greatly helped in improving and projecting soft, moderate, peace loving and progressive image of Pakistan before the visitors to the exhibition and even otherwise.
Both Jimmy Engineer and owners of Revivers Galleria Sara Anjum underlined the dire need for organising more paintings exhibitions and other cultural activities in foreign countries in the prevailing circumstances for putting forth true soft, moderate and tolerant image of the people of Pakistan before the comity of nations.
