Tetra Pak, UVAS to celebrate World Milk Day

Tetra Pak, the world's leading food processing and packaging solutions company, and the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) have joined hands to observe 'World Milk Day 2011' falling on Wednesday, (today) in a befitting manner at the Ravi Campus of UVAS, Pattoki.
Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz, Vice Chancellor of UVAS, will be the chief guest on this occasion while Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, Dean, Faculty of Animal Productions & Technology will host the proceedings. The aim of 'World Milk Day' is to help society make healthy beverage choices and to raise consumer awareness about the importance of milk in their daily lives. World Milk Day was initially proposed by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations, who designated June 1st as the calendar day when all aspects of milk would be celebrated worldwide.
