Hyderabad city: 'foreigners apprised of investment opportunities'

Chairman of the Diplomatic Sub-Committee of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (HCCI), Saleem A. Shaikh, addressing a meeting of sub-committee on Tuesday, said that President HCCI, Goharullah is working hard for the development of industry and business in the region.
He stated that with the efforts of the sub-committee, diplomats from America, Japan, Switzerland, Sri Lank, Bangladesh and Turkey visited the chamber and exchanged views with its members. He said that Goharullah had very fruitful meetings with various diplomats regarding foreign investment, transfer of technology, transfer of technical education, facility of visa, and import and exports from the city.
He said President HCCI told foreign diplomats that Hyderabad is an ideal city as far as law and order situation were concerned. Moreover, it is close to seaport, Nooriabad and Kotri Site areas, therefore, Site area is of great significance. He also informed that agro-based industries, textile, garments, light engineering, oil and gas, coal, power generation sectors are profitable sectors for investment. He stressed upon foreign diplomats to convey to their countrymen regarding investment opportunities of Hyderabad.
Saleem Shaikh informed that in near future, diplomats from Qatar, Great Britain and other countries would be coming to the city to visit HCCI, while cultural delegation from China will present their programmes in the city.
