Smeda signs two business plan contracts

Ikhtiar Ahmed Khoso, Regional Business Co-ordinator Small & Medium Enterprise Develop-ment Authority (Smeda), Hyderabad said that they have signed two business plan contracts with Imdad Jamali on 'Rice Mill and Ice Factory'. He said that business plan is a document that is mostly used to convince the investors, especially banks, and making a business plan is one of the services for the investors that helps them get a complete picture of their businesses.
Khoso said that during the floods of 2010, SMEs were badly hit in Sindh. Floods not only destroyed the blooming rice crop but also the rice milling industry in the region. The rice mill and ice factory of Imdad Jamali, located in Ghari Khero, District Jacobabad was one of the units destroyed during the floods. This is a good initiative for the rehabilitation of SMEs in Ghari Khero, and encouraging other affected SMEs.
He said that Smeda, Hyderabad is promoting SMEs in the region and helps them in project identification, access to finance, business plan making, and entrepreneur-ship development through training services and facilitating through professional analysis.
