US MIDDAY: sugar, coffee and cocoa up

Raw sugar, arabica coffee and US cocoa futures settled firm early on Tuesday, with a lift from the strong commodity complex and weak US dollar on the last trading day of May. The key July raw sugar contract moved up 0.19 cent to close at 23.18 cents a lb.
July arabica coffee futures rose 0.90 cent to close at $2.6460 per lb. Key July cocoa futures climbed $30 to finish at $2,999 per tonne. Market closed the month down 11.5 percent, giving back last month's gains.
