02 Jun, 2011

The use of loudspeakers on the vehicles by the candidates for electioneering for the scheduled June 26 general elections campaign in Azad Jammu & Kashmir has been strictly banned in the light of the code of conduct yet announced by the AJK elections commission, official sources said.
Under the proposed code of conduct, no any candidate will be allowed to hoist their respective party flags during the elections in the light of the recent directives of the Chief Election Commissioner of Azad Kashmir.
The CEC issued the directives after various matters were pointed out by various impending candidates in the recent meeting of District Returning Officer and the District Administration of Mirpur.
The District Magistrates of all AJK districts have warned that the vehicle carrying the loud speakers in used form will immediately be impounded by the administration.
They further declared that no any candidate would be allowed to use official vehicles while moving for electioneering.
