KESC stops salaries of 4,500 workers RECORDER REPORT

Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has stopped the salaries of the protesting 4500 workers for the month of April learnt Business Recorder on Wednesday. It has also been learnt that KESC releases salaries to workers on every 20th of the month.
Sources revealed that KESC paid salaries to all its regular employees but not released salaries to the surplus pool employees.
President KESC workers Union (CBA) Mohammed Ikhlaq also confirmed that salaries for the month of April were not issued to 4500 protesting workers.
Meanwhile Chairman KESC shares holders association Choudhary Mazhar Ali said that he is ready to play a role as mediator between protesting workers and management in order to resolve the dispute. By giving more incentives to the surplus workers the issue may be resolved, he added. He said KESC shareholders are suffering losses due to this ongoing dispute.
