Cars/jeeps of 1801cc or above: FBR to collect 50 percent regulatory duty on import

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will collect 50 per cent regulatory duty on the import of cars and jeeps of 1801cc to 3000cc (except electric hybrids), cars and jeeps above 3000cc (except electric hybrids), cars and jeeps above 2000cc (except electric hybrids) and cars and jeeps above 2500cc (except electric hybrids).
According to an SRO.479(I)/2011 dated June 3, 2011, the regulatory duty would be collected on the import of the following items: Betel nuts, 10 per cent ad valorem; maize if imported from India, 25 per cent ad valorem; cigars, cheroots and cigarillos containing tobacco, 15 per cent ad valorem; cigarettes containing tobacco, 15 per cent ad valorem; smoking tobacco whether or not containing tobacco substitutes in any proportion, 15 per cent ad valorem; homogenised" or "reconstituted" tobacco, 15 per cent ad valorem; tobacco for chewing, 15 per cent ad valorem; tiles, cubes and similar articles, whether or not rectangular, the largest surface area of which is capable of being enclosed in a square the side of which is less than 7 cm, 15 per cent ad valorem; tiles, cubes and similar articles, whether or not rectangular, the largest surface area of which is capable of being enclosed in a square the side of which is less than 7cm, 15 per cent ad valorem; tiles, 15 per cent ad valorem; wash basin, 15 per cent ad valorem; bath tubs ceramic, 15 per cent ad valorem; bidets ceramic, 15 per cent ad valorem; cisterns ceramic, 15 per cent ad valorem; sink ceramic, 15 per cent ad valorem; toilet ceramic, 15 per cent ad valorem; urinals ceramic, 15 per cent ad valorem; water set pans, 15 per cent ad valorem; dinner sets, 15 per cent ad valorem; dishes, 15 per cent ad valorem; plates, 15 per cent ad valorem; tea cups and saucers, 15 per cent ad valorem; tableware and kitchenware, 15 per cent ad valorem; of porcelain or china, 15 per cent ad valorem; of porcelain or china, 15 per cent ad valorem; cars and jeeps 1801cc to 3000cc (except electric hybrids), 50 per cent ad valorem; cars and jeeps above 3000cc (except electric hybrids) , 50 per cent ad valorem; cars and jeeps above 2500cc (except electric hybrids) , 50 per cent ad valorem; pistols, single barrel, semiautomatic or otherwise , 15 per cent ad valorem; pistols, multiple barrel, 15 per cent ad valorem; muzzle loading firearms, 15 per cent ad valorem; pump action, 15 per cent ad valorem; semiautomatic, 15 per cent ad valorem; shotguns, multiple barrel, including combination guns, 15 per cent ad valorem; single shot, 15 per cent ad valorem; semiautomatic, 15 per cent ad valorem; other arms (for example, spring, air or gas guns and pistols, truncheons), excluding those of heading 93.07, 20 per cent ad valorem; cartridges, 15 per cent ad valorem and cartridges for riveting or similar tools or for captive bolt would be subjected to 20 per cent regulatory duty.
