Hearing of different cases: CJP constitute two benches

The Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has constituted two benches of the Apex Court comprising six justices for hearing different cases during the week commencing from Monday. Bench-1 headed by the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry also comprised Justice Tariq Pervaz and Justice Abdul Amir Hani Muslim.
Besides other cases the bench would hear cases of constitutional petition filed by Marvi Memon on consequences of the devastation caused by the flood that hit Pakistan in July and August and their aftermath, writ petition regarding grant of long distance international licence, filed by Worldcall Telecom Ltd through Chief Executive Officer versus Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, Service Laws Matters / Others/ Golden Hand Shake Scheme, filed by State Bank of Pakistan through its Governor Karachi & another versus Imtiaz Ali Khan & others ,Constitutional Petitions Under Article184 regarding protection of lives and property of the people of Balochistan filed by President, Balochistan High Court Bar Association versus Federation of Pakistan .
The bench -2 comprises Justice Javed Iqbal, Justice Nasir-Ul-Malik and Justice Mian Saqib Nisar. Among other cases the bench will hear the cases including custom matters filed by M/s Lucky Cement Limited versus Collector of Customs.
It has been directed to all the concerned parties that there would be no adjournment on any ground as well as through fax before the court. It is also asked that in case the counsel is unable to appear for any reason the Advocate-on-Record would be required to argue the case.
