HRs ministry resolves 1,278 cases out of 3,753

A total of 3,753 cases of human rights violation were taken by the Ministry of Human Rights (HRs) during 2010-11, out of these 1,278 cases were resolved up to May 31, 2011. In written reply to a question in the National Assembly, the ministry told that it received 1,882 cases of heinous crime in which 649 were resolved out of 181 cases of minorities 57 were resolved.
Similarly, a total of 487 cases of women and child were received by the Ministry, in which 157 were resolved. 415 cases of police, 210 cases were resolved, 22 cases of jails in which 11 were resolved and 386 others cases in which 90 were resolved by the Ministry.
