Four killed, two injured in shopping plaza fire

At least four people were killed and two other received serious burn injuries in Blue Area shopping plaza blaze, the commercial hub of Federal Capital, in the wee hours of Monday. The fire broke out in Fayyaz Plaza of Blue Area near Lal Quarter, which engulfed a complete floor of the building within no time, eye witnesses said.
They said that many people trapped in the floor of the shopping plaza, as the fire spread very quickly, resultantly four persons were burnt to death while two others sustained serious burn injuries. Police, Fire brigade and Rescue 1122 official rushed to the spot and after hectic effort brought the fire under control.
The Rescue 1122 has confirmed that four persons were burnt to death in the fire, who were identified as Zakirullah, Kalimullah, Sarwar Shah and Suleman Rahim Jaan. The two injured, who were rescued from the building, are Sabir and Liaqat. The fire damaged the plaza badly while goods worth million of rupees were burnt to ashes. Cause of the fire could not be ascertained yet.
